Fading out of love Can't deny the way it makes me call above As if there was an answer Waiting on the line When exactly did my heart fall out of time? It's so hard to keep But it's so, so damn easy To walk right out the door And you're so, so damn easy To love once more Fading into you All we wanted was for this to just be true And I ain't lying Making up the time Is harder than even God knows what it's worth In the stars above But it's so, so damn easy To walk right out the door And you're so, so damn easy To love once more

Breakdown, In the middle of the street my friend, oh no The rats run by They're fleeing that ship of fools, but I sail on I fly so high, I touch the sun and melt away from you I'm raining down with love, with pain, with truth I call out your name It's not over, oh no I don't wanna live like that I don't want to live without it It's not over, oh no I don't wanna live that live I don't want to live without, without you I call out your name Knocked out, In the middle of the ring, In the middle of the night I say your name, I say it again And again and again And I call out your name It's not over, oh no I don't wanna live like that I don't want to live without it It's not over, oh no I don't wanna live that live I don't want to live without you I picked up the phone, dialing numbers I've known Searching pages for traces The lines are all down, I'm lost and then found I've been calling for ages, oh no I call out your name

Daylight 04:02
Daylight, sunlight Throw back the curtains that are blocking the sun Fade out, hold tight No matter what we do the starlight is cutting through us And I feel like the suicide is over and done The night is falling and the day has already been won Tell me a beautiful lie Show me all the stars in your eyes The stars in your eyes Big lights, stage light I know the lines to sing, I know the part that I play Soundtrack, fade to black No matter what we say the starlight is shinning on us And I feel like a phoenix living under the gun Burning brighter now I'm rising up to meet the sun Tell me a beautiful lie Show me all the stars in your eyes Hold on, daylight And we hold on, daylight Tell me a beautiful lie Show me all the stars in your eyes The stars in your eyes Daylight is a beautiful lie

Let It Ride 04:01
It's like looking through broken glass So many versions of me The tokens of my regard Are lost, out at sea It's gone without a trace So let it ride I won't forget your face So let it ride Let it ride again All miracles are performed With a little help from my friends The obvious question here Is when does this end? It's gone without a trace So let it ride I won't forget your face So let it ride Let it ride again

I run fast, are you ready? You run faster than light Here...we...go Dark constellation through city starlight A fractured angel, your look is twisted right Narcotic shotgun, another heart attack I can't escape your love, I want you back I hide out the sky is falling You find me my world is falling in, on, me Dark constellation through city starlight A fractured angel, your look is twisted right Narcotic shotgun, another heart attack I can't escape your love I want you back I want you back

about

An EP of original music. And a classic rock jam.

'To Love Once More' is a bit of an anomaly in Chauncey's world. For a Boston-based band that worked hard to garner critical acclaim in the early 2000s by slaving over every note, every song, every gig...this EP just…well...just kind of happened.

In 2005, Chauncey decided to take an indefinite break. After spending two months, stretched over the course of a year, recording their 2nd record, "My Radio (Everything I Know)," with legendary engineer, Steve Albini, the previous 5 years of touring, showcases, and dashed hopes had taken their toll. Folks were tired, disillusioned with the music industry, ready for a change, and as it does for everyone, life happened.

Fast-forward 9 years to 2014.

A casual suggestion is made: "Guys, why don't we get together, play some tunes, have some beers...but let's do it in the studio, just for fun. No pressure, no agenda. Whaddya say?"

This 5 song EP was born out of that concept: One rehearsal. Little to no material. Sketches. Riffs. Hopes. Excitement. Of course, this could end badly. Limbs broken, feelings hurt, a terrible fall. It had been 9 years after all.

Full of energy and renewed sense of purpose, Chauncey is proud to present what may be their best work to date. We hope you enjoy listening to the new EP as much as we enjoyed making it!
